Livia Benisty and Miranda McLean shortlisted alongside industry peers

London, 2nd March 2023 – Financial infrastructure provider, Banking Circle Group, is celebrating double success in the Women in Payments Awards for inspirational members of its leadership team. Livia Benisty, Chief Business Officer of the Payments Bank, Banking Circle, has been shortlisted in the Rising Star category. Miranda McLean, Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer of Banking Circle Group is nominated for an Inspiration Award.

Organised by The Global Association of Women in Payments, the Women in Payments awards set out to honour and celebrate women making waves in the global payments ecosystem. The program recognises the achievements of women who have distinguished themselves as leaders, innovators, rising stars and consummate professionals. The winners are selected by a distinguished committee of seasoned women talent from across the payments industry and will be announced at an award ceremony during the Global Women in Payments Annual Symposium in London on 19th April 2023.

Livia has spent 15 years in financial crime and AML around the world, gaining expertise that she now utilises to build technology that can better manage and mitigate financial crime risk. She is particularly focused on redesigning processes and platforms to connect FinTechs and Banks successfully, securely and compliantly.

Miranda joined Banking Circle pre-launch and created the brand identity and marketing strategy which took it to an award-winning multi-million-dollar business in under three years.  Passionate about championing the skills and expertise of diverse and under-represented groups, Miranda is committed to increasing diversity, equality and sustainability for the industry, improving the culture, image and environmental impact of the industry.

Anders la Cour, CEO of Banking Circle Group commented: “Livia and Miranda are driving change that benefits other women in the industry, bringing improvements across the payments industry. They both commit considerable time and effort to supporting our business as well as mentoring colleagues both within and outside the organisation.  It’s no surprise, therefore, that they have both been shortlisted in the Women in Payments Awards.”
