Saxo Payments announced as finalist in Best B2B Innovation Award

2016 PYMNTS Innovator Awards names Saxo Payments Banking Circle among the best B2B payments innovations

London – 11th February 2016 – Saxo Payments Banking Circle is a finalist for the Best B2B Innovation category in the 2016 PYMNTS Innovator Awards. The winner is chosen through a public vote, open now at www.innovationproject.com/2016-innovator-awards, and closing on 19th February.

Saxo Payments Banking Circle provides a seamless conduit for transfers in a wide range of currencies and across borders. With this product, Saxo Payments is giving the burgeoning FinTech sector a genuine alternative to the status quo in making and receiving international payments and this nomination reflects that level of innovation.

Anders la Cour, Chief Executive Officer for Saxo Payments, says: “The Banking Circle is our web-based banking platform, which is shaking up the current landscape for businesses trading on a global scale. Crucially, Banking Circle members can make and receive cross border transfers in seconds, rather than days, without the need for establishing multiple banking relationships.

“Along with the recent announcement of our nomination for an FSTech award, I believe this PYMNTS award shortlisting recognises just how valuable the Banking Circle can be to businesses, and we are proud to be nominated alongside other industry leaders.”

Viewed as the most prestigious recognition awards in the payments industry, the 2016 PYMNTS Innovator Awards boasts a rigorous submission, selection and voting process unmatched in competitive energy. Nominations were reviewed by a panel of seven judges with deep expertise in running, funding and launching innovation in payments and commerce, and narrowed down to five finalists in each category. The PYMNTS community now have two weeks to determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winners in each category.

The Innovator Awards Dinner, as a part of the Innovation Project® event which runs from 16th – 17th March 2016 on the Harvard University Campus, is the closing ceremony held to honour both new and seasoned payments executives, including inductions into the Payments Hall of Fame®, plus the 15 best-in-class awards.
