To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled and enthusiastic Team Lead, who is able to reinforce and support our Platform Excellence team within the Payments Engineering department consisting of 15 Developers, QA and a Scrum Master. Platform Excellence is a team that drives and owns foundations services, so you will get the chance to lead and work closely with the team as well as help push the technical agenda. Coming from a technical background will be a great advantage as this team acts as our technical powerhouse and enabler.

You will be reporting to our Head of Payments Engineering, and be part of our growing Engineering function, where you will have other Team Leads to collaborate with as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • ​Grow, manage and motivate a team of highly dedicated people
  • ​Conduct employee appraisals which include holding one-to-one meetings with your team members
  • ​Keep your team accountable on agreed processes and deliveries
  • ​Support the Product Owner in managing backlogs, roadmaps and priorities and help with facilitating and enforcing agile processes.
  • ​Ensure deliveries follow architectural and other guidelines
  • ​Collaboration with stakeholders across the business

Skills & Qualifications

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, where you have managed a technical delivery team as a hands-on and inspirational leader. You have a relevant educational background, and a thorough process and business expertise, preferably gained from either the IT industry or the financial sector.

We expect you to have project and delivery management experience and a thorough understanding of both traditional and agile PM methodologies as well as engineering practices from requirement analysis all the way to CI/CD. Preferably, you have a track record of successfully working with Scrum, particularly in coaching the Product Owner and subsequent teams.

As a person, you have an infectious and positive attitude, you are hands-on and in your element when taking ownership of the role as Team Lead. You are an open-minded leader who can motivate and coach your teams while balancing processes and ensuring delivery on time. Furthermore, we expect you to be a dependable and knowledge-sharing team player who corporates well at all levels in an organisation.

As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages it will be an asset. The position will be based at Banking Circle’s Office in Copenhagen.
