To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel, who can lead legal transactions and projects and support our new Group structure by advancing its commercial agenda and facilitating the effective implementation of business priorities whilst being mindful of protecting the Group.

Key Responsibilities

As the Banking Circle Group (“Group”) expands and increases in complexity, the overall aim of this role is to build further Group coherence and mature our ability to share assets, capabilities and ways of working.

As such, responsibilities include:

  • Taking the legal lead on strategic Group initiatives including M&A opportunities, financing, complex structuring, funding and shareholding initiatives
  • Advising, reviewing and negotiating contracts for Group initiatives including our leadership team, the CEO office, the CFO office and our Growth department
  • Lead cross-Group efforts working together with capability centres and stakeholders across the Group
  • Developing internal procedures and a Group reporting framework
  • Handling of complaints, disputes and litigation cases
  • Assisting with cultivating a cross Group collaboration mindset

Skills & Qualifications

The candidate for this position is a lawyer whose profile demonstrates the ability to successfully lead complex legal tasks from beginning to end and with experience dealing with multi-jurisdictional matters. We expect you to have completed a post-graduate degree and to have a minimum of at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience from a law firm or an in-house role.

You are motivated to be part of a unique growth journey and the opportunity to take on the challenge of building the financial infrastructure of the future while also supporting on setting up our new Group structure. We expect you to have business acumen and an ability to navigate in an international organization and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.

As a person you are a team player that shows initiative, takes responsibility, and works independently. You are solution oriented in your approach to challenges, a confident decision-maker and a strong analytical problem solver with excellent communication skills. Finally, we expect you to be a knowledge sharing team-player who creates positive working relationships with others and has the ability to sustain delivering advice to a high standard in a fast-paced environment where projects and assignments will vary considerably in nature.

Since the Banking Circle Group is a group of international companies it´s a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages it will be an asset.

The position will be based in either Luxembourg, London or Copenhagen.
