Senior HR Generalist

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated HR Generalist to support the UK Branch as well as take the lead in the field of Training & Development in our multi-award-winning company.


As the HR representative in the UK, one leg of your responsibility will be to support the UK Branch in their daily business and development. You will be a sparring partner and advisor to the leaders on typically performance and development related issues, as well as the extended arm for other HR areas like remuneration and cultural development. It will require a varied skill set including strong interpersonal skills and a deep insight into UK legislation and operating procedures in Banking/FinTech.

The other leg of your responsibility will be to support the global organisation in the field of Training & Development. You will together with Head of HR drive the development and implementation of a structured approach to personal and professional development in the organisation, as well as support the building and development of high performing teams.

The team consists of two members with a dedicated responsibility for Payroll and Recruitment respectively, as well as a Head of HR. In the UK Branch, we have around 35 employees and will soon expand to 150 in the global organisation.


We expect the preferred candidate to have enough experience to drive initiatives and work independently, but at the same time, it is evident for you to seek input and cooperate with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations. Ideally, you have succeeded in one or more HR positions in the Banking/Fin-Tech sector, where you have built a broad set of skills, maybe as HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar.

Experience with the UK labour law is a must and you are used to guide and support an organisation on classical topics like leave, performance issues, health and safety, remuneration etc. It is also a must that you have experience with structured development processes. Facilitating meetings and workshops comes to you naturally.

As a person, you are known for having a structured and disciplined approach to your job. You are a forward planner and make sure to meet your deadlines. When the workload is peaking, you demonstrate resilience, flexibility and the ability to prioritise and adjust plans to meet the targets. You are a strong Team Player, who reaches out to help and inspire as well as to get help and inspiration. When meeting resistance and opposite interests, you use your emotional intelligence to find solutions where there are no “losers”.
