To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a skilled Risk Manager who can assist the 1st LOD in managing and limiting the risks Banking Circle is exposed to.

Our Risk Department forms part of the 2nd LOD and is in charge of the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, controlling and reporting of all risks Banking Circle may be exposed to.

You will be supporting our two Senior Risk Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Risk Managers to maintain the Risk Framework and its adequate implementation
  • Assist in coordinating the Risk & Control Self-Assessments
  • Assist in carrying out independent assurance activities
  • Oversee change and outsourcing management processes, providing constructive risk advice
  • Provide value-adding risk analysis and 2nd LOD reporting of the identified risks
  • Oversee the incident management process to ensure swift response and resolution
  • Monitor regulatory developments and requirements
  • Carry out daily and monthly risk monitoring activities
  • Assist in promoting risk culture throughout BC, incl. training to the staff
  • Support the Risk Department on other ad-hoc related matters

Skills & Qualifications

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have completed a bachelor’s degree as minimum and 1-3 years relevant work experience from a similar role where you have gained a holistic and solid understanding of banking landscape. You have a proven track record and experience working within the risk management area.

You have knowledge of risk measurement systems and concepts, and you know how to establish relevant Risk and Internal Control Frameworks. Furthermore, you have knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements within both operational and financial risk activities.

As a person, you can take ownership, be pro-active, open minded, as well as a fast learner with a dynamic personality. You have a ‘questioning’ mindset that allows you to naturally propose new ways of working and strive for constant improvements in current processes. You are analytical and have great communication skills, and you can handle relationships at all levels of the company. You are able to display good judgement, think ahead, anticipate questions and prioritise work tasks appropriately. You can work under pressure and provide high quality deliveries within agreed deadlines.

As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages it will be an asset.

The position will be based at Banking Circle’s Office in London or Copenhagen.
