Internal Governance Officer – Luxembourg

To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled Internal Governance Officer to join our Governance team. The main tasks for the role are to ensure transparency and operational effectiveness in line with circular 12/552 as amended, assist the organisation in procedure and policy writing and support Authorised Management. You will be reporting to the Head of Governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and draft policies, procedures, and other relevant internal governance documentation in collaboration with owners
  • Drive the definition of a robust Internal Governance Framework across organizations
  • Support Authorised Management in ensuring implementation of Internal Governance framework
  • Drive the definition of an appropriate management information system based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risks indicators (KRIs)
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization of controls, KPIs and KRIs
  • Collaborate with Legal in conducting training and advise on internal governance matters

Skills & Qualifications

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have built a similar framework, have a background in auditing in the financial industry or come from consulting on Internal Governance and experience internal controls and management reporting.

You have strong time-management and stakeholder management skills and an ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities. Furthermore, you should be able to simplify complex regulatory requirements related to regulatory framework into language understandable for business stakeholders.

As a person you are self-driven and have strong communication skills. You are analytical and have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages it will be an asset.

The position will be based at Banking Circle’s headquarters in Luxembourg.
