The position and why we need you
We’re looking for a self-motivated, creative, and ambitious colleague to join our Insights team as Insights Specialist. You will be a professional in insights storytelling and know how to drive action from metrics. Crafting effective and intelligent benchmarks, understanding performance, caring about data quality, enabling automation, and creating phenomenal visualizations are all things that drive you.
As part of the Insights team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of strategic and tactical tasks from product ideation to realization, customer experience and market intelligence to mention a few. You will support the business and advocate data-informed decision-making, carrying out research and data analytics to make targeted recommendations and drive actions collaboratively.

- Ideate, scope, plan and execute impactful research and analytics projects
- Leverage industry, market, and customer data – trends and foresight
- Draw insights from multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources
- Drive best practices for customer journey orchestration and engagement
- Communicate inspirational insights and ideas to senior leadership, product owners, businesspeople, data scientists, designers, engineers, and others
Who you are
You have professional experience in an analytical role, ideally delivering insights in related tech/banking/payments fields (b2b is an advantage). You have a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, sciences), or with a deep understanding of statistics and experience working with real-world data, as well as a developed, strong sense of business.
You have the technical competence to autonomously build a fit-for-purpose analytics suite; plus experience with analytics and data design (SQL), and visualization tools are required (PowerBI preferred). You have deep knowledge of designing KPIs, diagnostic metrics and benchmarks, and getting effective targets to drive optimal outcomes. Furthermore, you are comfortable with ambiguous and unstructured questions and know how to break them down into actionable and concrete work streams.
As a person you have a curious mind and a problem-solving approach, you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty and are highly supportive of more junior team members. You have a people-focused mentality and the ability to advocate for the customer. Also, you are a fantastic communicator and value working cross-functionally with colleagues of different professional and cultural backgrounds.
Other details about the job
As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset. The position can be based either at Banking Circle’s office in Copenhagen or Amsterdam. Note you’ll be referring to the Head of Insights based in the Copenhagen office.
