Banking Circle wins two Global Finance awards

Double win for Banking Circle in the Global Finance Best Treasury & Cash Management Providers 2019 Awards

London, March 2019 – Financial utility, Banking Circle, has secured a further two awards for its next-generation financial services infrastructure: Best Virtual Accounts Solution for Corporates and Best Cross-Border Payments Solution for Corporates. The Global Finance Best Treasury & Cash Management Providers 2019 Awards, now in their 19th year, rank the best treasury and cash management banks and providers by category, region and by country.

Full results will be published in the March 2019 issue of the magazine, and an award ceremony will take place at the top of London’s iconic Gherkin building on September 25th, during the annual Sibos conference in London.

Anders la Cour, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Banking Circle commented: “2019 has got off to a fantastic start for Banking Circle. We have already won four awards this year as well as having launched our latest proposition and research white paper for the insurance sector.

“It is a great honour to have won these two awards, which recognise the important role Banking Circle is playing in simplifying banking and payments, breaking down barriers to global trade and increasing financial inclusion for businesses. To be ranked alongside big players in the market makes the double win all the more gratifying for our entire team, who have worked hard to build and deliver the best solutions for businesses trading cross border.”

Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance said: “At a time when the near- and mid-term trajectory of the world’s economy is very uncertain, corporate financial teams need to access complex timely data. Our Treasury & Cash Management Awards point to the financial institutions that deliver both on quantity of data and quality of their insight into global trends.”

Banking Circle provides a unique approach to cross border transfers and the Banking Circle Virtual IBAN solution delivers a unique proposition for FinTech businesses to add value to their customer proposition. Banking Circle Virtual IBAN gives FX and Payments businesses the ability to issue multicurrency IBANs in their customers’ name and in multiple jurisdictions. As such, merchants have the ability to make and accept payments, cross border, in different currencies, in a way that traditional banks would simply not facilitate. Banking Circle also designed dedicated Virtual IBAN solutions to serve online marketplaces and the insurance market: Banking Circle Marketplaces and Banking Circle Virtual IBAN for Insurance Providers.

Banking Circle Lending launched in June 2018. This new solution can provide financial institutions with the capability to offer their merchant customers a transparent, flexible, low-cost and easy-to-manage loan solution. In September 2018, Banking Circle Receivables Financing was added, to provide instant settlement on receivables due, to keep cash flowing more smoothly and negate the impact of long payment cycles.
