Award win and triple shortlisting for Banking Circle at FSTech and National Technology Awards

Payments Bank wins Cloud Computing Innovation of the Year at this year’s FSTech Awards

Banking Circle also nominated for Cloud Innovation, Digital Transformation and Financial Services Tech of the Year 2022 at the National Technology Awards

London, 23rd March 2022 – Tech-based Payments Bank, Banking Circle, won this year’s Cloud Computing Innovation of the Year at the prestigious FSTech Awards. It has also been shortlisted for an impressive three categories at the National Technology Awards.

Banking Circle’s cloud-first mindset and recent migration of its entire core banking system to Microsoft Azure saw the company take the Cloud Computing Innovation crown at the FSTech Awards. The awards ceremony took place on 17th March at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, where businesses gathered to celebrate excellence and innovation within the UK and European Financial Services tech sector. In addition, Banking Circle’s dedication to delivering speedy cross-border payments and building the first and only real-time clearing and settlement network globally put it in the running three National Technology Awards:

  • Financial Services Tech of the Year
  • Cloud Innovation of the Year
  • Digital Transformation of the Year

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 26th May at London Marriot Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

It is the second time this month the company has been triple shortlisted for an award. In the most competitive year so far for the UK FinTech Awards, Banking Circle was nominated for Banking Tech of The Year and Payments Tech of the Year, while the Bank’s Global Head of Business AML, Livia Benisty, is on the shortlist for Rising Star of the Year.
